[an error occurred while processing this directive] Threatened and Endangered Species Assessments, Management and Rehabilitation The Endangered Species Act of 1973 was enacted by Congress to provide a means to identify, locate, document, and protect species that are listed as threatened and endangered. Rare plant and animal species are often adversely affected by new and existing residential, commercial, and industrial activities. Aquatic Engineering's staff is available to assist clients in achieving compliance with the federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to threatened and endangered special issues. Aquatic Engineering provides the following services to both private and public sectors:
  • completion of biological inventories of plant and animal species
  • completion of in-depth analysis of species of concern
  • assessments of potential direct and indirect impacts associated with development activities to threatened and endangered species
  • expert witness testimony
  • preparation of alternative strategies for clients wishing to reduce their potential impacts to biological resources
  • mitigation of previously identified biological resources
  • preparation of Section 7 & 10 Biological Assessments as provided for in the Endangered Species Act
  • collection of state and federal permit(s)
  • where applicable, relocation methods may be implemented and carried out
