Aquatic Engineering's staff is equipped with state-of-the-art technology both in the office and in the field. From AutoCAD to video conferencing, our personnel have the ability to fully project and communicate that projection, efficiently and affectively, to our clients. Our staff is supported by the most efficient facilities and equipment with, advanced computer software, Geographic Information Systems, digital water quality meters and probes, and sediment and hydrographic surveying equipment.

Research Vessel Aphazomenon
Research Vessel Aphazomenon The research vessel Aphazomenon is a sixteen-foot aluminum airboat with a "bulletproof" lexan hull. This go anywhere vessel is capable of various tasks from marshland analysis to land deployment and retrieval. It is powered by a 375HP high performance marine motor with a top cruising speed of 50 knots. It is outfitted with a cellular phone, marine radio, Lowrance sonar, pilot to co-pilot communications and Satellite Differential GPS. This vessel has an empty draft of 4 inches and primarily used for aquatic environments where conventional outboard motors are deemed ineffective. R/V Aphazomenon can be outfitted and adapted to almost any environment for specific project requirements.

Research Vessel Esox lucius
Research Vessel Esox lucius The research vessel Esox lucius is state of the art support vessel. It is twenty-four feet long and powered by a Honda Four Stroke (90HP) Marine motor with a top cruising speed of 45 knots. It is outfitted with a cellular phone, marine radio, Lowrance sonar, and Satellite Differential GPS. Its hull is ¼" plate aluminum with an additional inner hull where the space in between is filled with sprayed foam. This vessel is virtually unsinkable! It has a draft of 4 inches empty and the capability of carrying 6 tons. Esox lucius has 90 cu ft of storage space and 144 sq ft of deck space. With an internal 30-gallon fuel cell it has a cruising range of over 300 nautical miles.

Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV's)
Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV's) As situations dictate, Aquatic Engineering utilizes ROV's as an alternative to conventional diving for greater safety. Not only do ROV's provide greater safety in deep and dangerous waters, but the use of this technology allows these situations to be more cost effective for our clients. ROV's have very few limitations and can be equipped with video systems, manipulator arms, sonar and bottom imaging and sampling technologies. This machine can go to great depths to accomplish specialized work tasks and can be deployed very easily from the shoreline and support vessels.

Floatable Geoprobe®
Floatable Geoprobe This sampling and analytical system provides for a discrete, non-destructive, fast means of investigating site conditions. The Floatable GeoprobeŅ system is incorporated into various situations pending specific project requirements. The system is made up of a base (vehicle or boat) with a laboratory quality gas chromatograph and hydraulic hammer, which is used to drive one-inch diameter steel rods into the ground for collections of soil, water, or soil vapor samples. Once collected, the samples are analyzed in the field following guidelines set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. With its ability to drive points into the ground, the GeoprobeŅ eliminates the cleanup work created from conventional drilling techniques. This system can provide fast, dependable analytical data in the field, so no time delays are encountered when waiting for the laboratory results.

Mobil Laboratory
Mobil Laboratory This mobile analytical system provides for a discrete, fast means of investigating environmental conditions. The mobil laboratory is incorporated into various project situations pending specific requirements. The system is an enclosed trailer sixteen feet in length, eight feet in width and with an inside ceiling height of eight feet! It is completely self sustaining. It is heated and air conditioned, equipped with a generator, running water and all the other creature comforts most laboratories enjoy! Once collected, the samples are analyzed in the field following guidelines and protocols set by industry, state, federal or specific project requirements. This laboratory can provide fast, dependable analytical data in the field, so no time delays are encountered when waiting for the laboratory results.
