Many factors affect a lakes quality, but it is often the lake's fishery or lack of one, that people equate with the "quality" of the lake. Aquatic Engineering recognizes this and is involved with the management of many lake ecosystems throughout the Midwest. Our specialists evaluate fisheries, make recommendations, and implements ecologically sound fishery management practices to enhance or rehabilitate the recreational value of the fishery. Aquatic Engineering maintains electro fishing, netting and laboratory equipment for fishery inventories and assessments. When major lake rehabilitations take place such as dredging or draining for dam repairs, Aquatic Engineering may salvage fish from those lakes, restocking them in holding areas or other lakes where they can be reutilized.
